    7 cases shortlisted as”Chinhit Apradh”

    The 6th meeting of State Level Committee was held under the chairmanship of ACS Home, Dr. S.S. Prasad on 21st may for selection of cases under ‘Chinhit Apradh’ scheme from the recommendations of the District Level Committees. The progress of the various cases under the scheme was also reviewed by the committee. In the meeting, a total of 7 cases related to crime against woman and NDPS Act have been shortlisted out of 9 cases received from District level committees.

     
    DGP Crime administers Anti-Terrorism Day pledge at Police Headquarters

    Anti-Terrorism Day was observed at the Haryana Police Headquarters complex in the presence of DGP, Crime Mr P. K. Agrawal. On this occasion, Mr Agrawal administered the pledge to a large number of staff members who attended the pledge ceremony. Among others present on this occasion were ADGP Mr Ajay Singhal, ADGP Mr A.S. Chawla, IGP Mr Hanif Qureshi, IGP Mr H.S. Doon, DIG Mr Satender Kumar Gupta, SP Mrs Manisha Choudhry, AIG Mr Vinod Kumar and other police officers and officials.

     
    Most-wanted parole jumper “Vinod Mitathal” in Police Net

    Haryana Police has arrested Vinod Mitathal from Churu district in Rajasthan. Vinod carrying a cash reward of Rs 3 lakh had been absconding for the past 9 years. Police has also recovered three 9 mm pistols, 6 cartridges and 9 cartridges of .315 bore. The dreaded criminal was wanted in several heinous crimes including murder, attempt to murder, kidnapping and ransom. Police has also arrested Praveen, a close aide of Vinod Mitathal from Bhiwani.

     
    Police seizes 557 kg narcotics in Kurukshetra

    Under an ongoing anti-drug campaign, Haryana Police in Kurukshetra district has seized over 557 kg of narcotics during last four days from May 16 to 19, 2019. Police teams in Kurukshetra have recovered 555 kg 480 grams of chura post, 2 kg 414 gram opium and 3.5 gram smack during various raids conducted between May 16 and May 19 in the district.

     
    450 gram heroin seized, three arrested

    Haryana Police has seized 450 gram of heroin valued approx. Rs 45 lakh from a car in Sirsa district and arrested three persons in this connection. The arrested accused were identified as Amandeep Singh alias Jugnu and Rajesh Kumar alias Munna of Mandi Dabwali and Pradeep Kumar alias Deepa R/o Muksar Sahib Punjab. A case under NDPS Act has been registered against them. Accused will be taken on police remand for interrogation to ascertain details of others involved in heroin smuggling racket.

     
    STF nabs most-wanted

    Narender alias Mota, R/o Moth Karnail in Narnaund carrying a reward of Rs 50,000 is arrested by STF Hisar. He was wanted in several heinous cases of crime including murder, loot, dacoity and drug peddling. He was nabbed along with his accomplice Rampal, hailing from Uchana from Narnaund police station area. Police team has also recovered 600 gm opium from their possession. Atleast 19 criminal cases were registered against him in different police stations across the state.

     
    A wanted criminal arrested by Haryana police

    Arrested accused was identified as Manveer alias Kala a resident of Surkhpur, District Jhajjar. He was involved in several cases of crime including murder and attempt to murder. One country made pistol recovered from his possession. He was absconding since 13 years.

     
    1632 bottles of illicit liquor seized

    Continuing its crackdown on illicit liquor smuggling, Haryana Police has seized 1,632 bottles of liquor being illegally transported in a vehicle in Bhiwani district. Police has also arrested one person in this connection. A police team at a blockade near village Devsar signaled the driver of pick-up vehicle to stop for checking. Upon searching, 1632 bottles of illicit liquor were recovered from the vehicle. The driver failed to produce any license required for carrying liquor.

     
    Peaceful polling for Lok Sabha election 2019

    Lok Sabha election was conducted in a peaceful and incident-free manner due to excellent Police arrangements, decisive intervention and energetic patrolling carried out since early morning across the state. Police has taken all precautionary measures for ensuring peaceful polling due to which voters turned up in large numbers in their respective polling stations to exercise their franchise.

     
    Total seizure of illegal inducements crossed Rs21.07 crore

    The total seizure of unaccounted money, illicit liquor, drugs and other valuables have already crossed Rs 21.07 crore so far since the election model code of conduct was enforced in the state. More than 3.73 lakh litres of liquor worth over Rs 6.05 crore was seized between March 10 and May 7 in the state. Similarly, the total seizure of drugs/narcotics including heroin, opium, ganja, chura post, smack, charas, sulfa etc. have crossed over Rs 9.34 crore.
